Exploring London’s Iconic O2 Arena

Hosting over 200 events annually, The O2 Arena has showcased world-renowned artists and hosted top-tier sports events. Beyond the main arena, The O2 is a full entertainment hub, featuring a wide array of entertainment activities, outlet shopping, and a long list of restaurants and bars. It’s a perfect destination offering an unforgettable day out under one iconic roof.

The busiest music venue in the world

With a seating capacity of up to 20.000 people, The O2 Arena is the second largest arena in the UK. It has also been named the busiest music venue in the world, staging hundreds of events every year. The arena has solidified itself as a cornerstone of global entertainment, with a staggering reputation of always selling out events.

The arena has seen performances by some of the biggest names in music, such as Taylor Swift, Adele, The Rolling Stones and many more! However, it’s not all about concerts. The O2 has also become a key venue for comedy with world-class comedians like Kevin Hart and Dave Chapelle attracting massive crowds.

Additionally, it hosts major sporting events such as regular-season NBA games, UFC fights and the Laver Cup tennis tournament. Back in 2012, the arena even played a significant role during the Olympics, as it hosted both basketball and gymnastics events.

A vibrant cityscape has been thoughtfully created beneath the giant dome structure, forming a ring around the edge of the arena, adding a unique charm to the space. This circular space, known as The O2’s Entertainment District, boasts a lively blend of shops, restaurants and entertainment. Visitors can freely roam around the indoor city streets, and enjoy the architectural design, making it a destination in its own right.

The O2 Entertainment District is also home to Cineworld, London’s largest cinema, featuring 19 screens and a 13-lane bowling bar called Hollywood Bowl. Fancying other activities? Dont worry, there’s lots of stuff to do! Other venues inside of the O2 include a freejumping trampoline park and even an indoor skydiving facility.

Outlet shopping

At the O2 Arena, you can experience outlet shopping at its best, featuring over 60 stores offering top-tier brands at discounted prices. Here, you’ll find popular brands like Nike and Calvin Klein alongside luxury brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Henry Richards. The outlet combines high-end shopping with a relaxed down-to-earth feeling, perfect for browsing around before or after visiting the arena for an event.

Besides the O2 Arena being a world-class destination for entertainment and an outlet shopping paradise, it’s also a culinary hub, boasting a diverse array of food and drink options. Visitors can choose from more than 30 restaurants, cafés, and bars that span global cuisines and dining styles.

From popular spots like Gaucho for a taste of Argentine steak, to Zizzi for casual Italian dining, or perhaps some Thai-inspired dishes from Busaba, there’s something for every taste.
