Heathrow Express takes the title of being the most convenient form of transportation from Heathrow Airport to central London. This comfy non-stop express train flies through the suburbs of London and arrives at Paddington Station after just 15 minutes en route — quite astonishing.

Heathrow Express only departs from Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3, and Heathrow Terminal 5, meaning travellers from Heathrow Terminal 4 will have to take a detour.

Another option when going from Heathrow Airport to central London is the exemplary Tube. Here, you’re allowed to get a little creative as you can change between lines along the way. The Tube will take you about an hour to get to central London.

The Tube (Piccadilly line) departs from Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3, 4 and 5. In other words, you can be sure to catch the Tube no matter which terminal you arrive at.

Elizabeth line

London’s most recent rail line, the Elizabeth line, has also joined the reception at Heathrow Airport. The Elizabeth line will take you about 45 minutes to get to central London and connects with east London, Essex, along with Reading via changes.
